"Been lucky enough to frequent Gasthaus Gartenstadt (The "Frau", for all the former Americans in Munich), since the 70's. Its been updated but still is simply one of the best examples of an urtypisch Bayerisches (traditional Bavarian) restaurant in the outskirts of München. Very reasonable prices as well."

"Such a cozy traditional restaurant. You get all Bavarian cuisine there. Even there are portions for small hunger as well, like small Schweinebraten. They also do have a beer garden opened on summer. Can recommend to anyone."

"Love the food very generous but the disappointing part is they did wont accept my UK card. I have so many options yo use Visa,Master card, Amex even travel card with euro currency in it. The lady said they only accept Germany card which I found it strange. I intend to pay for my friends foods but ended up it's them who paid for our dinner. As I don't have cash. Food is great but to pay your bill uts either you have cash or card that issued in Germany."

"We had a very amazing dinner last night. The food was tasteful and the portions are big. The place was actually busy no free table but our server Angelika were priceless. She made sure we have everything, has a nice sense of humor, very kind and caring. She made our evening extra special."
